Intended to be samplers of real instruments, Mellotrons had a special sound of their own that made all the difference in the music of the Moody Blues, Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Asia, Tangerine Dream, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Elton, and many others. The KDFX version of MelloKurz is our latest release. It includes classic Mellotron choirs, strings, brass, winds, and even a grungy B3 rock organ. Expanded versions of Real Rhodes now available! Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos are no doubt among the most influential sounds in modern pop and jazz, yet ours is the only Kurzweil native collection of these instruments to date. To round out our collection, the expanded version includes amped Fender Rhodes for a live sound. Also included is an extra smooth triple strike DX-7 Rhodes and perfect samples of the Hohner Pianet, which was used by the likes of Tony Banks of Genesis, Brian Ferry of Roxy Music, and Rick Wakeman of Yes. This inspiring collection is now also available in several Akai formats.
