Artist: Michael Whalen
Michael
Whalen is one of the busiest composers working
today. Having done literally hundreds of advertising
scores and film scores for network television,
his work has been heard by literally millions
of listeners.
A
graduate of the renowned Berklee School of Music
in Boston (and also a member of the film scoring
faculty there), Michael works in multiple genres.
He has written over 20 orchestral and chamber
scores.
Michael
has performed and recorded with numerous jazz
notables. His latest CD is called Mysterious Ways,
which features standout keyboard parts that showcase
our Real Rhodes sounds. Michael is joined by Tony
Levin (King Crimson and Peter Gabriel's touring
band ) on
bass
and stick, Chuck Loeb (the Stan Getz band)and
David Torn on guitar, Danny Gotlieb (the Pat Metheney
Group) and Bashiri Johnson on drums/percussion,
and Emmy winning sax player Bob Minzer (the Yellowjackets).
